Saturday March 26th 2011. Cape Cod Composite Squadron was officially renamed Saturday at the Massachusetts CAP Wing Conference to Cape Cod Coastal Patrol Base 18 Composite Squadron in honor of the brave men and women of the Falmouth, MA based Coastal Patrol.

December 7 2010. The Squadron is invited for a talk at the Pave PAWS radar site at Cape Cod Air Force Station in Sagamore, MA. The cadets enjoyed an evening of pizza and career mentoring with space operators and security forces from the 6th Space Warning Sqaudron.

Captain John B Flattery, and Cadet Airman Brendan Flattery were invited to a meeting of the Down East Squadron, Bar Harbor, Maine. The former Coastal Patrol Base 20. They are a small squadron but they hold the original charter from their days as a Coastal Patrol Base.

Tuesay July 6th. - During the monthly Aerospace Education class Cadets demonstrated model rockets which they had developed. The rockets were powered with nothing more than water and compressed air, but Cadet DeGregorios' rocket reached a recorded height of 80 feet.
Chatham EPIRB Mission

On the 7th of March, 2010 members of the Cape Cod Composite Squadron (MA044), Civil Air Patrol responded to a call for ground teams from the Massachusetts Wing Incident Commander. The call was placed due to an EPIRB (emergency position indicating radio beacon) which was transmitting in the Cape Cod area. Two members of MA044 responded, 2Lt Julia Massi and C/SSgt Kyle Ouellette. They drove toward Chatham Massachusetts to an industrial park where a Civil Air Patrol aircrew was already on scene and had narrowed the search down to the area surrounding a boat storage yard.
